Land-bank locator questions

Is there a land bank near me?
There are 354 land banks across the U.S., concentrated in the Midwest, South, and Northeast — Ohio, Michigan, New York, Georgia, and Pennsylvania have the most. Enter your city or ZIP above to rank the closest ones; each profile explains coverage and how to buy.
What if my county doesn't have a land bank?
Not every county has one — land banks are created by state enabling laws, and some states have none. If nothing is nearby, your county treasurer's tax-foreclosure or surplus-property sales are the closest equivalent, and neighboring counties' land banks sometimes sell to outside buyers.
Can I buy from a land bank in another city or state?
Usually yes for investors, with conditions: most land banks accept out-of-area buyers but require a renovation plan, proof of funds, and sometimes a local property manager. Side-lot programs are the exception — those are reserved for adjacent owners.
Which land banks actually have property for sale?
LandBankSearch tracks live inventory for 51 land banks nightly; results above show a "live listings" badge with the current count. Profiles for the rest link the official website to check directly.
